Blast from the Past
Today when I logged onto Facebook I was first delighted and then horrified to discover that a friend had posted pictures of some holiday weekends at Seton Sands Holiday Camp(for people who couldn't afford BUTLINS). The only positive being the fact of how slim I was! The weekends were fairly tame looking back with most of our time spent rounding up teenagers and spoiling their fun!! One of my friends spent her time chasing the Entertainments Manager round the site and hiding from his girlfriend while the other would try to notch up every bloke she met. It was cheap, cheerful and very cold in the caravans. We didn't have much money but had laughs aplenty!! One drink I will never try again is vodka and milk, which came about because we had no lemonade or coca-cola. We took most of our meals and drink with us, although I did once win a large breakfast pack at the Tina Turner look a like contest??, which I left in the fridge for the cleaners to take home. Two buses all the way home with a bag full of meat? No thanks! My other memory of this time is of the Amusements Manager who taught me how to win stuffed toys from the grabber machine. I actually met him a few years later when I was on a works night out! he was still the same but I was wondering how he had seemed so interesting at Seton Sands and why he was soooo boring now lol. Yes we had fun and the pictures look awful and like us a wee bit out of date! Hey Ho!!! gotta laugh ;)
